It looks awesome! Based on a true historical event, where 300 Spartans held off 60 times the number of Persians. They gave the rest of Greece (city states) the time to get organized to repel the Persians. Same director as "Sin City" which I loved.

Its about 300 warriors at the battle of Themopoly....
they have movie reviews and opinions.
I (my own opinion only) really enjoyed the movie. It rang along the same lines as the Charge of the Light Brigade.
"Half a league, half a league, half a league onward...
into the valley rode the 600...." I think is how it starts out.
Same general inspiring story, small group against great odds.

I look forward to seeing it. I hope it gets people to read Herodotus, "The Histories". I'm surprised about one little detail. Athletic contests and oftentimes those ancient battles, the men stripped down to only their armor. There's a famous painting about the end of that battle that is depicted in the movie. The Greeks have a a look of total weariness upon their faces, limply holding their weapons. Only their helmets, shields, body armor, and cloaks clothe them.
Good, the movie is a transparent West vs. East in symbolism but yet it is before Christian vs. Musllim.

You know I love those type of epic movies and such. But I am not excited to see 300. It just looks too fake and over computerized. I like to see some reality. I know that you can do a lot with computers and graphics, but if a movie is too fake looking, I don't even want to waste my money!

Cant wait to see it this weekend.
Looks like a great movie.
Very interesting how 300 soldiers fought against the Persian army. The odds were against them but they fought till the end.

this is confusing but I think you mean the movie 300 well, it is a great movie, I have seen some clips on the internet it is awesome,

Frank Miller did a huge load of research, so I am both content with the accuracy of it and, considering what occured with "Sin City", will go see this in the theaters
