For our upcoming wedding, the groomsmen will be wearing solid light gray suits and the bridesmaids will be wearing bubble gum pink dresses. We will use the extra fabric from the dresses for pocket squares, but don't know what color tie to wear. We could get solid pink ties to match the dresses, but I think solid gray or white ties would look nice too. I don't know what to do! PLEASE HELP!!!

Here is the dress, but it is in COSMOPOLITAN pink (5th from top in middle column)

And here is the suit, but in SILVER (last color)

Plus, the pocket squares will be from the leftover fabric from the dresses.
Thanks for all the responses!!

I think you should do pink ties. Pink and grey actually go quite nice together and your groomsmen and bridesmaids would be better coordinated. If your suits are light grey and the dresses are a brighter pink (bubble gum pink to me could be either light or dark), I don't much care for it personally because I feel that the tie would stand out, but it does make for more of a masculine look then a lighter pink (which I actually think looks better with a lighter grey). Either way, light or darker pink, both will go and will def. look better having the matching pocket square.
If you decide you don't want to do the pink, then go for the grey (even though it be to much grey) and stay clear of the white. It would blend way to much in with the white shirt making it appear as if there was no tie at all...and if the tie wasn't the same color of the shirt, it look a bit awkward.
Good luck and congratulations =o)

You need to consider the time of day. I would match the tie to the shirt making it a little dressier. That or get a tie that is the same pink as the pocket square with a VERY suttle tone on tone pattern like a paisley, stripe, etc....or do the opposite and do a pink tie with a patterned pocket square. I think either is very modern and would look awesome. I think the gray tie would mess up the flow of the outfit and look a little like a boy's suit.

A white tie on a white shirt will not look right -no background color to set the tie off, so I think u should go with gray ties and it would be fab.

Well you can't wear a white tie and a white shirt because you wouldn't see it and a bubble gum pink tie (ewww) I would go with grey ties either darker or lighter than the suits. If you match them exactly it will look cheesy
Bubble gum pink ????

Silver ties would go nice with the ensemble. Also, do think about grayish/pink ties. There are ties that are one color but have sort of an undercolor or that shine in a different color.
I don't think white ties are a very good idea. They just won't show on the photos and they'll look so bland in reality.
Or- think of a patterned tie. Look at this one by Giorgio Armani:

Obviously, you don't have to go for Armani, but this is just to give you ideas.
Check out this one by Celine:

I think the problem might be that it will be difficult getting the handkerchiefs to match with the ties.
In any case- good luck! And congratulations!

Gray tie would go good.
I think the tie should blend in with the jacket.
It would be invisible if it was the same color as the shirt.

I say pink tie,but u said white or grey r the choices so i would go with a lighter grey than the suit. Trust me if u were in Jamaica u would definitely have it locked in the pink tie.
