Here's the deal, my husband and I have been having unprotected sex for almost 3 weeks (sunday) he has came in me several times. Last week I started my period, it was normal. But I've been told those first few days before, and a few days after your period is when your most fertile. We also had sex when I was on my period. I took a home test, and it was neg. Is it too soon for a blood test?

When counting the first day of your period as day 1, you are most fertile around day 14. A blood test will not show pregnancy until about 10 days after ovulation because the egg has to implant before the body starts producing the pregnancy hormone.

You're not pregnant if you had your period. If you have somewhat "normal" cycles, you are most fertile 14 days AFTER the first day of your period. Try for a few more months and if you don't get pregnant, you can always buy an ovulation kit to help you figure out your most fertile days. Good luck!

Honey, you are MOST FERTILE 14 days after DAY 1 of your period. That is when the egg is released.

If you had your period, you are not pregnant.

try again next month. Example, if your period started on March 1, you should be having sex around March 15 to try and get pregnant.
