I don't think I would accept a friend telling me I could only speak to them once a week! Stop getting in touch with them and see if they try to contact you - if not forget them.

Sounds like this friend is either letting you down easy or you spent too much time texting, it's not a real friendship. Friends need to see each other or a t least call and talk that way. Over the text line, it gets old after a while and things can go wrong. Depending on your age maybe your friend's parents took away their texting priveledges because it ran up the bill, I know it can be costly. If this is a close person to you, shouldn't you have called and asked them what's wrong and why their distancing themself from you? You should act with confrontation, it is best in clearly blury situations. good luck

There shouldn't have been a strict rule in the first place between friends to limit how many days pass before contact. Nor does it mean a friend has betrayed an agreement not having kept up the contact a day or two late If the friendship is sound & true.

maybe u are being a bit too clingy and thats why she said once a week, possibly she feels uncomfortable with the constant textin,...am not sure, though if she is not contacting you at all, ignoring texts would u still consider them a friend? i wouldn't! there are loads of people out there, go get another friend :) good luck x

Dont initiate any calls or messages anymore. This person's not interested in your friendship at all. If you were a good person to him/her, he/she will realize what they have lost and then THEY will look for you - then it will be YOUR choice to take them back as a friend of just ignore them. But if you do decide to take them back as a friend, try to forget about what happened in the past and enjoy a "new" friendship. Good luck! :)

Your friend may not be able to handle the txt charges associated with the phone or as with one on my friends, they hooked up and counldn't txt me as much anymore. Just talk to them and find out what's going on. I know it's hard to deal with sometimes but you all need to remember you have your own life out there.

I would be really hurt and wouldnt text or call them. I would wait and see if they bothered to get in touch with me. If they dont they musnt have wanted to keep in touch anyway and arent worth texting or calling anyway.

that is a strange request for "a friend" to make. I don't think I would consider this person my friend...an acquaintance maybe. I sure would not share anything personal with them. It sounds to me like they, for what ever reason, are cutting off communication.
sorry
be cool...
