In public, of course I would.

In private, I would tell her what I actually thought.

I guess that depends on what I'm standing by her for. I'd stand by her publicly if she needed my support to confront someone, even if she were wrong, but privately I'd tell her what I really felt. If she stood against something that I was taking a stand for, then I guess I'd have to think about that particlar situation. In general, I always try to support my wife.

I am a woman, so this will come from my perspective. I agree with Mr. G though. In public I expect my husband to stand by me, and I will stand by him. This is unless we are talking about the time someone's flight takes off or something like that. I would also expect him to talk to me about it when we were home too, as I would do with him. Otherwise, you walk around sounding like a fool.

Do You LOVE your wife? Yes? then you would stand by your wife in any given situation. Unless it is against the law then I would not stand by her. I would contact the law enforcement.

You should ALWAYS stand by your spouse in public (if he or she is wrong, do your best to change the subject), then discuss it in PRIVATE.....especially if it involves conflicts with in-laws! Your marriage is your PRIMARY responsibility regarding your relationships on earth, then your children, then the rest of the family.

Depends on the situation. If she's wrong about disciplining the kids, fer instance, I'll have to discuss it with her. If she's wrong about what to use for bait when we go bass fishin', I'll let her alone - she might just turn out to be right! I hate it when that happens and she catches her limit first!

I would and do, often. She's extremely opinionated and is right quite often, but she's wrong sometimes and when she is, I stand by her because she would do the same for me, if I were ever wrong. :)
