Whether it was two guys or a girl and a guy you tell them that it's none of their business. I hate PDA's!!( Public Displays of Affection) the people that do that are just showboaters. They don't care about each other just want to see how many people they can shock or disguest.

Don't stare! It's rude!
Then, when you get home you ask them what they thought. Depending on their answer you can tell them how love has no barriers (except when oil is involved), how lust is a sin and must be controlled, that they should try everything at least once, that people are different and everyone chooses their own paths, that passion can't be contained in a small room, that the world will never cease to change, or you can make up a fable of your choice- because ultimately whatever you say, one day they will try to prove you wrong- it's called growing up- so wouldn't you like for them to learn you never lied to "protect" them?
Would your reaction differ if it were a guy and a girl? Is that more right than the two guys? Yet one is more "accepted" than another. I personally look away whenever I see a couple "getting it on" in public, and I point my daughter's sight somewhere else, too. Because exhibitionists love being watched, and I'm not going to give them the pleasure!

If your kids ask you why the two guys were kissing, tell them the truth - that the two probably like each other very much and that's what two people who like each other in a certain way do to express affection. If they ask why two guys are kissing each other (as opposed to a guy and a girl), I'd also tell them the truth -that some people are gay and are attracted to people of the same sex and that some people are straight. As for why, I'd tell them that we don't fully understand what determines sexual orientation, but that it has nothing to do with being weak or sinful or any of the other stories people have made up to explain what they don't fully understand. I'd tell them that anything they've heard to the contrary is just bias and superstition. I'd use that incident as an opportunity to teach tolerance and enlightened thinking.

To each their own. And my kids being 8 and 10 my kids already had their values and ethics on how to view and treat people set. They had made up their minds on what was right and wrong (and yes a large part of it was from what I modeled) I do not approve of much of the behavior and life styles that are out their but I challenge you to find a person that I do not treat fairly and how I would want to be treated if it were me.....Love you neighbor as your self does not mean you have to outright just approve and accept everything they do....just treat them with respect.

When it comes to your kids, HONESTY is the best policy!! Don't make things up, don't sugar coat everything. Children are smarter than you think. My daughter is 9 and she knows more than most of her friends because, when she asks, I'm honest. I also let her know it is a parents job to inform their child on these matters,so she doesn't share info with her friends. I give her honest answers to honest questions.

I'm sure the two boys have heard the terms, "fag, queer, homo, butt pirate, gay or pillow biter" Just tell them this is what those terms mean
Explain there is nothing wrong with being gay it's just the way they are.

Be careful you don't give them more information than they are looking for. Ask them what they think about it. I would tell them some people express their feelings more than others. In other cultures its OK for strait men to kiss or hold hands.

I would say nothing unless your boys bring up the subject.
If they do just tell them that the 2 guys are in love with each other (and leave it at that).
