you don't say anything about being pregnant, so am assuming you are not. If you are pregnant and have been spotting, you need to make an appointment immdiately.

If you're not pregnant, and the spotting is light and there is no pain with it, there is no big cause for worry. Women can spot between periods for a lot of reasons. A lot of the birth control availble now will cause spotting if you have just started taking it or for the first several months (especially common with the ones that eventually lead to greatly reduced or no cycles). An increase in sexual activity...as in you have had none or very little and are now in a very active relationship..can be another cause. Other things like stress or illness, as well as the use of some medications can be a cause as well. And then there is just god old mother nature. I

f the spotting continues past 10 day or it becomes painful, it gets heavier and includes large clots or there is an unusual smell to it, then it is time to see the dr. Otherwise, I would just relax and be annoyed.

totally normal hun. no need to worry..sometimes the woman cicle its not the same all the same..me for example i used to have my period for 9days straight..now ive bn only having it for 5days.normal...who can understand this bloody situation?!
