Sucrets lozenges or Cloraseptic spray numb your throat temporarily.

I was at the doctors today after having had a sore throat for two weeks.

Said to gargle dissolved aspirin.

Before that was to take two paracetamol & two Ibuprofen but then again my throat had mild swelling (glands).

For a milder sore throat, I'd drink vitamin C drinks, lots of water and/or hot water with lemon & honey to help.

Hope your sore throat gets better soon.

Hopefully by now your throat is better if not off to the doc with you! You don't want to get more ill and not be able to sit at your computer and do your Y/A :-)

Honey in your tea, and gargling with warm (not hot) salt water, when you first have one, seriously if it has not improved in a day or two then you should see the doc that goes for anything with your health!

Get some Vics First defence nose spray. It kills the germs in your throat but it hurts like H*E*L*L so be prepared. Alternatively, my mom swears by gargling salt (disolved in a little water) for a sore throat, totally gross but it works

Listen up, I get me a hot cup of tea and put honey in it, and if you have some lemon. That would help it too. Then I put it in the mircowave and heat it again so that its hot. Then I take some halls and put them in there and stir it and sip it. Trust me you feel a whole lot better. Make sure you also take some meds.

not talking too much, lots of warm liquids, soup, no ice cream or dairy it will make phlegm and you will cough that will make your throat worse. I hope you feel better soon. I was just kidding about going to work, if you have the time and can afford it, stay home, so your throat doesn't get worse, and no smoking if you smoke.

Lemon juice with lots of honey mixed into it. It works like a charm. The best part is it doesn't taste that bad. Kind of like a strong lemonade.
