I had a dream last night that I robbed a bank. I knew the safe code and took $200,000. One $100,000 bill and two $50,000 bills. I just walked out of the bank and walked to a nature preserve (park). Shortly after stealing the money though, I was overwhelmed with guilt and didn't want to tell anyone, including my husband, in fear he'd be angry and disappointed for putting our future in jeopardy. I thought alot about buying a house with the money, but realized that the bills could probably be tracked. I thought about taking the money to another country, but couldn't think of a way to explain this to my family. Ultimatley, I opened a picture frame and hid the 3 bills between the photo and the matting and left it there. The feeling of fear and guilt were awful. I was terrified to be away from my kids.

In real life, I have obviously NOT planned to rob anything. Nor do I feel guilty about anything. What could this mean???

This dream means that you are having feelings of guilt about your role in the family. If you do not presently work or bring in money to the family perhaps this is bothering you. You should talk about this with your husband. Remember a mother is doing the family and society a favour by not working and being home with the kids who are apt to be more well adjusted in a home environment. If you think that doing the motherly thing is bringing money into the home by raising better adjusted kids then you are contributing to the family situation. Taking the money which as you say was not useful, especially when hidden between the photo and the matting is just symbolic. Had you stolen bills that could easily be spent then that would be different. How do you spend a $100 thousand dollar bill or do they even exist? The nature preserve is also symbolic as it is returning you to a peaceful, natural link to the earth and the environment. It is a place usually not tainted by money or man's greed. You are caught in between the burden of money in your life and the carefree life of nature. Do not read too much into all of this as dreams usually represent the opposites of your life, and by dreaming about these things it is your brains attempt to have some experiences that your current life does not presently afford you. If this is a recurring dream then there may be a problem but so don't worry about it. Buy a lottery ticket and who knows maybe you will be lucky, now that would be a real steal.

I think that this might be a dream about what you value. The money represents aspects of your life that you consider 'luxuries'. They are available to you (such as time out for yourself; shopping for trinkets or beauty treatments). The nature reserve represents your mind. You sat with the money for a little while and then felt guilty and went home (back to family/domestic responsibilities). You realise that these luxuries do have value (in the dream, you wanted to buy a house rather than a pool filled with champagne! On a reality level, the luxuries you crave are actually therapeutic and make you a better wife, mother and woman because your needs are being fulfilled at the same time as making you feel good).

You have put these desires away for the time being but you have left them in a place that is relatively easy to access.

My advice is to sit and explore what it is that you feel you need in your life that feels like it might be a bit of an indulgence - and fulfill it because it will do you good. Considering the notes were large, I'd think that maybe it is something big, such as travelling or taking up university study or plastic surgery - or something.

I hope that this helps!

It could be that like most people, you worry about money but you also have a great heart and know that such things are wrong. Subconsciously, robbing a bank would make all your money problems go away, but you know its wrong.
Or it could just be random. Don't think too much into your dream Its true that they can be a look into your deepest thoughts and desires, but most of the time its just like a screensaver for your brain. It has to do something all night long. They show that when your dreaming, your brain is just as active as when your awake.

Possibly there is something you very much want to do, that feels like stealing or robbing. It could be something emotional, not physical. For example, if you are working very hard and don't have time for your family, you may feel like "stealing" some time but may feel afraid and/or guilty of the consequences of doing so. This is just an example. It could be anything else. You may find it hard to discover as it is something that you are bent on hiding from yourself while you are awake.

It could be some overwhelming guilt in ur subconcious from long ago or something triggered this dream from perhaps watching tv. The fear and guilt seem to be the prominent feelings so I'm guessing there are a lot of regressed feelings of this nature deep inside ur brain from yrs. ago.

The dreamer is the one best qualified to intrepret a dream!

Look at your waking life. What do you think and feel about money? What thing(s) do you want but do not have the money to buy?

Realize, too, that money may have nothing to do with it. What thing(s) do you want but feel you lack the resource(s) to acquire?

One possibility is that the dream is cautioning you to NOT do something that would be in violation of your principles. It sounds like you have a strong need to be honest. Are you being open and honest in your relationship?

These are just a few things to think about - hope they help.

Are we to assume you didn't dream the husband and children as well? Ok. Good. I don't believe in dreams myself. But money in a dream means having a baby in my culture. So, a typical ethiopian dream fan would translate your dream as being pregnant with a baby (what else would you be pregnant with anyway) and your husband not liking it. Your fear of upsetting him, "jeapordizing" your future, of being away from your kids, etc. emphasizes the point. But again you may just be in dire need of adventure in your life, thus plan and execute a perfect (uninterrupted) bank robbery in your dream.

sounds like you have a strong moral foundation, but like most of us, worry about money. I had a social worker tell me that bad dreams are a very healthy mechanism. It means your mind is working out negative emotions at night, which it is supposed to do, so you don't have to deal with them in the daytime. Now, if the dream keeps repeating itself and you obsess, you have a deeper issue. I think it's just your moral compass keeping you on line. don't worry about it.

Maybe it's as simple as wishing you were rich without having to work for it...but then feeling guilty as a result of how you got the money. Just my guess...

this dream portrays feelings of desperation about money. Perhaps you are not feeling socially connected in the way to get money flowing to you
