I posted earlier saying that I had taken 2 x clearblue pregnancy tests and they both showed positive. Today I tried one of those cheapy tests (from Ebay - the ones that are meant to show very early detection - cant remember the name) and it turned out negative, mind you it was one of those dip-sticks and not sure if I did it right as instuctions werent very good! I am worried now I may not be pregnant even though I had two positive clearblue tests! What do you think?

Well, just spoke to my gp on the phone - he said just the fact I had two clearblues and going through all my symptoms is enough for him to confirm I am pregnant. I am soo pleased! I am going to try one more well known brand test later to be on the safe side!

THE EBAY ONES ARE RUBBISH! I got a bulk lot as we were trying for a baby and even though I knew in my heart I was pregnant they all came up neg. A couple of days later I got a clear blue from the chemist and it said positive. There is a reason Clear blue cost so much and the dip sticks cost 99p for 5!
When I queried the ebay seller as to why I got a false result they said the tests work so early that I was probably too far gone for them to detect.... Likely story! Congratulations, trust the clear blue!!

You're pregnant! Congrats! If you get a positive, any kind of positive, then you're pregnant. Just because one test says your not, that doesn't mean anything. Not all tests are the same, and you might be surprised how accurate those clearblue tests and other bought normally at a department store can be. The only way you will get a false positive is if you're taking some sort of drug (like a fertility drug) that has certain amounts of the pregnancy hormone in it. Otherwise, a positive means you're pregnant, no matter what other tests say. Good luck with everything!

I know that the silly tests I would buy at the dollar store never worked and sometimes they were dip type sticks. I would just go to the doctor to get the blood test and make sure- they can do what is called a quantitative test where you give blood one day and then a few days later. This will make sure that your fsh levels are doubleing like they should. And it will also give you peace of mind to know from the doctor (and not a pissed on stick) that you are in fact pregnant.
If your doctor wont see you untill 8 to 12 weeks like some do - I would suggest one more test. Get one that is well known but not one that is clear blue easy- test one last time and if you dont see that second line within 5 min then I would wait out the 8 weeks. I had problems with chemical pregnancy where I would lose it just as fast as I would have it. I know how frustrating it can be!

I think you should go with the Clearblue ones, they are a respected named brand and have a high accuracy rating, and stop wasting money on stuff from EBAY. You can also get a test done at the doctors free of charge (UK) which will confirm either way, but i would say that you ARE PREGNANT!!!!!
GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATULATIONS

Your best best is to have a blood test. That is the ONLY way to be 100% sure and to see the pregnancy hormone level. Depending on when you took the pee test, you could have been pregnant but then lost it. (that happened to me 2x) I took the test 2 days before I was supposed to get my period and the test came up positive and then waited a few days to go to the dr. office and when they gave me a pee test in came up negative so they did a blood test and it showed that I was pregnant but the levels were going down. Good luck. I am currently 14.5 weeks pregnant.

You need to go to your doc. My friend had the same thing and was using them. They showed negative on her. Well it turns out she wasnt prego. So, I treid them, take in mind at the time I was 6 and a half months along, they also came back negative. I would rely on our good ol standard EPT, Clearblue Easy or First Response. Good Luck

Go to the doctor and you will know for sure. I would say that the name brand hpt that gave you positives were most likely more accurate than the cheap negative, especially since you aren't sure you did it right. Just call your doc and let them know you need a test. Mine got me in on my lunch that afternoon and called before 5pm with a Congrats. =-)

Trust the two clear blues, those cheapies sometimes need a bit more hgc. Also its easier to get a false positive (especially on the cheapies) than false positives. I REALLY doubt you could get two false positives. Congrats mommy.
