Im going on holiday in 8 weeks with my Boyfriend, Ive heard its a really quiet village with not much to do. Has anyone been there and is there any sort of nightlife there or nearby?

Lucky you Went there 3/4 years stayed at a small hotel just of the main road. Lassi has bars and restaurants all the way along its not lively like say Tenerife its more quaint you can also walk in to the main town Agostoli think that the correct spelling ?! and there are more bars shops and restaurants there. You can get to Zante fron there also and there are some fab caves there can't remember the name but the island is very pretty. There's a good gold shop there owned by Scottish Sue she does good deals if you fancy treating yourselves! The main beach is fab and clean and there are lots of little coves. Hire a car or take atrip to Fiscardo at the top of the island reminded me of Southern France, and you can also do boat trips the surrounding area is sooooooo pretty enjoy yourselves. ps did you book it without getting details re where you was paying to go ???? Sure you will have a good time still

my wife and i went to lassi in kefalonia in summer 2005 ,we are in our 50,s .we stayed at the mediteranee hotel which is just off the main road .you are correct lassi is fairly quiet .there is one main road with bars and restaurants .not much night life I'm afraid .however agostoli is just a short taxi ride away (approx 5 euros )which is a bit livelier and has a night club .
the plus side of lassi is lovely beaches and scenery and is just a short transfer from the airport ,which incidentally is small .i would recommend hiring a car to get about and see the island .
to be honest if your going expecting a wild time like aya napa (Cyprus ) or kavos or a falaraki you will be disappointed ,however i think kefalonia is the most beautiful and unspoiled of all the Greek islands Ive been too .
if you want any more info please don't hesitate to mail me I'm happy to give u names or places to visit etc .
hope u enjoy your visit.
