Good question. Cheeky brat. I like the answer someone left about leaving an IOU. I would probably give him some money (maybe £2/3) and make sure he asks you next time.

Ignore the cheeky little scamp

Oh and check your car for scratches!

I let my neighbour wash my car once, he kept dropping the sponge in the dirt, picking it up and washing mypaintwork with soapy gravel!

Learnt my lesson on that one!

Sounds like the beginnings of a racket. I'd explain to the boy that life doesn't work that way. I might give him 50pence and tell him how you enjoyed his little joke, but in future you will wash your own car!

Tell his Parents, that he is a nice boy, but asking for money, for a job that was done without your permission, just doesn't work. Maybe they can convey that to him, the next time he tries to pull a stunt like that, and do not pay him, it's a lesson he will learn.

I would not pay it! I would gently explain to the cheeky s*d that I have not asked you to wash my car therefore you are not getting paid and if you touch my personal belongings again I will call the police.
