x=12 -3x
when -3x will go to the other side of the equality its sign will be changed
3x(1x)=12
= 4x=12
now when 4 will go to the other side of the equality its sign wil be changed
i mean it is being multiplied with x and after moving from one side to an other it will be divided
so
x=12divided by4
so x=3 and thats the simplified form of x=12 -3x.

x = 12 - 3x (transpose and change sign)
3x + x = 12
4x = 12 (divide both sides by 4 to get rid of x's coefficient)
4x/4 = 12/4
x = 3

First, add 3x to both sides.
x + 3x = 12 - 3x + 3x
4x = 12
Then divide by 4 to get:
x = 3
