In this case all I can offer is because I don’t know you and you don’t know me. Irrespective of that fact we still go on about daily interactions, even if this is the only communication we will ever share.
Saying that, all people are figments of other peoples imaginations (to a certain extent) as your brain will not process all the information given and will roughly fill in the gaps. It is impossible for you to truly know another persons mind so the personality information gaps are plugged by your unconscious.
A good experiment on how the brain reacts was carried out a few years ago where several people were given glasses to wear that turned their view 180 degrees upside-down after a week of fumbling about, all reported that they now saw the world the correct way up again, why? Because the brain had adapted and inverted the image of it's own accord.
I.e. their subconscious or imagination had corrected the information.
Upon removing the glasses all reported seeing the world upside down without them, this took several more days for the brain to switch back to the default process.
So to conclude I’m partly your imagination (as how you are hearing my voice in your head right now) and partly not. This does not however preclude me from being real.
E.g. Imagined pain or inflicted pain, what’s the difference the person still experiences pain, so from that stand point one is no less real than the other.
Hope this has suitable confused you and if I am a figment of your imagination, please could you imagine me driving a brand new Porsche as my car has had it.

There is no proof, we could all be put here on this planet simply to answer these questions right at this moment to fool you into believing that we are not figments of your imagination.
I could be a double bluff by answering the quesiton in this way....

sturdy morning, thats so humorous by way of fact I even have used that asserting many circumstances. "Your a figment of your individual mind's eye!" I strongly dislike people who walk around with their noses so severe interior the air they could in all risk drown in a rain hurricane. Its what comes from the midsection no longer what shade the floor or how plenty money you have on your pocket!

That's why I'm sure that I am not a figment of your imagination. You could easily be a figment of mine though.

Inside your brain, what I am is definitely part of your imagination. But not JUST figments of your imagination. I really do exist.
