It seems like everybody at the hotel i work at get paranoid like crazy when the owner comes around, if you do your job right you shouldn't have nothing to worry about

You're right about that if your doing what your supposed to do all along then you shouldn't have to worry about whose coming.

You should smile and be pleasant to anyone in a work situation and not more so to a person in a higher position just b/c of that position.

Nothing is worse than having your butt kissed when you are talking to employees who obviously don't respect their peers.

Someone who will be polite and efficient no matter who they are speaking to is an asset. Don't get ruffled by the knowledge that the person you are speaking with is higher than you in the company hierarchy. Just make sure that you treat everyone how you'd expect.

People get more intimidated than fearful (for their jobs). Some people still think money and "power" mean something.
