Not really.
It's a mystery of human existance, - that getting what you want doesn't really make you happier.
Happiness has it's factors from within.

In my opinion, life has become worse... less secure and more stressed even though there has been no world war in over sixty years and we have built so many scientific capabilities including having extended life expectation overall..... the reason is not far to seek... it squarely rests on the erosion of moral and social values.... unless we can get these values back on track, our priorities remain lopsided and we can not improve basic quality of life such as compassion, inherent security, tolerance and above all physical and mental peace.

Surely. Using the inventions for the better living of mankind has worked to a great extent. If you do not find the abuse of such things it is usefull and helpfull. It depends on the fact how we use the available new things. It our mind which receives the bebefit. End use will decide the answer. To my opinion it has gotten better.

I'd say life has gotten easier, but I wouldn't say it has gotten better. The fact that the most technologically advanced, consumer-based societies in the world (Britain, US, Japan, etc) have the highest rates of divorce, depression, suicide and mental heath problems shows that, for most people, life has gotten worse. I think people long for simpler times!

Some people will say yes, some will say no. It depends on where, what, who and when an individual exists. As I see it, life has gotten better for some while others live in hell on earth.

No. What we experience in our lives is rarely a global thing. We notice what is happening globally, but the standard of our lives is still judged by how we experience life locally.

Mankind, womankind will never see things as better until we start to act on solutions that are for the betterment of ALL people, not just ourselves.

I think that day to day conveniences have made life faster which just gives us more time to do more work and have more things to stress over.

There is alway's two sides to a coin. If we use all for the purpose for which it was intended my answer would be yes.
