Me and my BF have been ttc. I got pregnant the first month of ttc but i had a miscarriage at 6 weeks on 01/30. I ovulated right on time (02/13) as if the miscarriage was just the same as a normal period, and ever since a while after ovulation I have felt different and felt many of the same things that I felt when I was pregnant. However, I had my period. I was a day late and it was lighter than usual. There were no particular heavy days and it only lasted about 4 1/2 days instead of my usual 7. It is prob me just wanting something so bad or due to it being the first period since th mc but what I want to know is has anyone had a been pregnant and still had a period and if so what was the bleeding like? Light/heavy, red/brownish/pinkish, long/short, normal/irregular?

Mrs Vick: It was def a mc that I had as I had 4 positives before it happened. However it was only 6 weeks which may be why things seemed normal. This cycle I tested the day I was due and then the day after. They were both negative and I started my period the day after I was due. But the way I have been feeling has made me think was it my period? And the days I tested could also have been too early to pick a pregnancy up. I wanted to test again but was thinking I am being totally stupid! Maybe I should just test to make sure! Them pee sticks are so darn expensive though. I have one that I could use, but if I am just being stupid I would rather wait to use it at the end of this cycle. Oh well, i'm sure the world's supply of hpt's isn't going to run out by then!

It's fairly common to have a light period after conception. My friend's daughter had 5 periods and was pregnant all that time. She kept taking preg tests which weren't as good 12 years ago but they all said she was not. Well, she finally missed and went to the Dr and she was 5 months along. She has tried all these years to have another and hasn't been able to. Good Luck and God Bless

You cant have a period as such as a period is a loss off your egg. So if that happened then you would not be pregnant. However many women experience light spotting/bleeding around this time. And like you said period was not normal. As you had a miscarriage this is one reason it may be light. Maybe a test is the next step. Good Luck

Many women bleed in early pregnancy for one reason or another but it isn't a period. If you believe it is possible take a test just to be sure.

When my Ex-wife and I were trying to get preggo with our first born...it was difficult til the doctor told my wife to wait til ten days after her period before the attempt because its usually ten days after the period when she would start ovulation...hope this little info helps...because my ex and I tried really hard on the first and last one and she attempted it too soon after periods, so this might be why (but also may not be so), you had your miscarriage....So sorry to know about the miscarriage, been there before with my ex. But, good luck in the future.

yes` i have and it was lighter and turned brown. i spotted before bright pinkish but only a little. have u tested yourself agian? i would. if you didnt experience a whole lotta pain during the time u believe u had a miscarriage it was probably just a period. a small clot depending on how big your baby was would have came out too.
