To be honest, this sounds much more like thrush than an STD such as chlamidya or gonorrhoea.
The symptoms of thrush are an intense itch, and a copious creamy white/yellow discharge, which is often described as being like cottage cheese.
Although having lots of sex can make you more likely to get thrush, it is not an 'STD' in the sense that anyone can get it, regardless of whether or not they are sexually active.
If this sounds like what your cousin has, then my advice would be:
1) You can get medication from Boots etc without prescription - try clotrimazole cream (Brand name Cannestan). Also comes as pessaries (ie a tablet which you place inside the vagina) or a tablet you take orally.
2) Wear cotton undies, avoid tights - thrush is caused by yeast , which loves hot, moist conditions
3) If partner has similar symptoms, then above adive for him also.
4) Obviously, if she is worried she may have an STD as well, then go to Dr for check up. Also, general advice re using condoms unless both partners have had negative STD checks applies.
Hope this is helpful,
Jen

I had the same problem when I started sleeping with my boyfriend. I waited ages even to tell him about it and by the time I went to the dr it was really really itchy and sore. I was terrified going to the dr but shouldn't have been - they see stuff like this all the time. She didn't even look at it, but gave me some cream and a tablet for thrush, n said to come back if that didn't work. It helped a bit but in my case it was actually a rash n not thrush so I had to go back n she had a quick look and gave me the right cream that worked really well. My point is, I know it's really really scary but she should go and see a dr about it - either her gp or at a gum clinic - it will be confidential and they won't make her do anything she doesn't want to do (eg. show them it if she really doesn't want to) - they will see this all the time and honestly she will be so relieved and wonder what the fuss was about. These things do need proper treatment n the sooner she goes the sooner it'll be over and she'll be feelin better! Hope all goes ok - good luck xxx

She needs the Doctor. She has no time to feel embarrased as whatever she may have could get worse. STD's have to be treated sooner rather than later otherwise it will spread. If she is itchy it could be Thrush but she should still go to the Doctor for a definate answer.

She should go to her doctors.
At worst it could be a sexually transmitted disease or quite simply Thrush [The honeymoon disease] which can be eased by over the counter remidies ask the chemist & also helped by slapping a good dollop of Live yougurt on the itchy bits.
Tell her to give up the sex bit until she sorted out the problem.

It shouldn't be painful everytime she has sex. She should probably see a doc. It could be something minor like a yeast infection or an allergic reaction to spermicide or latex. I'm allergic to spermicide and it took me forever to figure out what the problem was. It could also be something more serious, so her best bet would be to go to the doctor!

She needs to go to the Dr NOW! There is no point buying treatment if you dont know what you are treating.
Is she using condoms? If not, gte her too or tell her to not have sex until she has seen the Dr.
You can go to the 'family planning' clinic without telling your own GP or parents - go with her if she is nervous.

Seems as if she has picked up an infection she must go to her doctor, and have protected sex in the future.

if it hurts why keep having it?
could be a yeast infection to
but yeah she should see a doctor and stop having sex untill she knows why it is happening....look up a local planned parenthood center they keep things private.
