The pop up is "on line offers" and the 3 options are "Yes", "Remind me later", and "No thanks". Regardless of which choice I make, I can not stop this recurring pop up. I see it every 10 to 15 minutes.
Any thoughts?

Not listed in the "add/remove" menu. And yes, using a "blocker" would work, but I want to get rid of it completely.

I believe its one of those offers FROM HP, that come with new systems. Not some innocuous pop up from the WWW. I think its imbedded somewhere. Hidden from plain sight.

Talked with HP this morning. Their recommendation? "IE..tools...Internet Options... Privacy... "Click on pop-up blocker." It may be that you CAN'T delete it, only block it.

if the program is on your computer try to find a refereance to in in safe mode a delete it (search using the name of the box with an asterisk mark eg popupname*.* so it will search for any occurence of that name) and search your program files for a reference to it. if it is on the internet go to the site and then enter it into the "bad/block sites" area of your browser.
for advanced user-- search for reference to it in your registry and delete the reference

Go to add/remove programs and find the one for online products or online services. It will be something along those lines and remove it.

If its a pop up from HP, I'd call them directly and ask them how to remove their pop-up. If its just a reg. ad....download AD-AWARE prog. run it and use a good pop-up blocker.
