They think that I should date someone in my college but, I have known this guy since 11th grade and now I am a sophmore in college we recently just got together about 3 weeks ago but, we have been friends since the 11th grade. The problem is that he dosen't go to college he is still at home working all the time and helping his mother pay bills. So he is not the ideal guy my parents would approve of right off the back....I need to tell them about him before he starts thinking that I am ashame of him.

They way i would put it, if they are your friends they should appriciate the desicions you make if they don't like your boyfriend then thats there problem. Thery are your friends and they should be proud that your happy. And for your boyfriend not going to school and working at home all the time, just be happy he isn't a bum staying home, not working, and not getting an education. Just be happy he is helping him mother with paying the bills that means he is helpful with his mother. Hope I answered your question If not I am sorry.

Being honest with your parents is the best thing. Your parents need to understand that you have reached an age where you can face your mistakes and learn from them, and become more mature.
