Two men are cutting the long grass in a remote field at the foot of a dark mountain, on a hot and silent day.
"I don't normally work this far away from home", said the first.
"No more do I", answered the second.
There was a pause.
"I hear that the mountain yonder is haunted", said the first.
"So I hear", said the second man.
Another silence fell.
"They say that the ghosts sometimes wander down from that mountain", said the first.
"They do say so", replied the second, stopping work to gaze up at the dark mountain for a while.
The first man stops work too.
"Do you believe in those ghosts?" asked the first.
"No", said the second - and vanished...
Sounds great told out loud too!
Cheers, Steve.

That's not really fair getting us to do your homework. You have a couple of days and 250 words is nothing. Just take a theme and write.

their is a man in my house whom is very upset with me being there well last night he really scared me!!! It had been about a week since the last time that i seen him, until last night. well i was in my room trying to go to sleep i was having a hard time because i was thinking about my aunt and uncle who had just passed a little while ago. then i heard him say " I'M BaCk" with a laugh after he said that i opened my eyes their he was, standing in my door way swaying back and forth. i normaily close my eyes and say please go away and he's gone but this time it didn't work. when i opened my eyes he was in my face with a loud laugh he said " DO YOU WANNA DIE " i replied no then he chuckled and he put his hands on my shoulders and pushed wicked hard to the point that they turned red. when he did this i couldn't move or talk it was as if i had no control over my body. he pushed for maybe 10seconds and when he let go i was really light headed, i jumped up as quick as i could and ran out of my room into my hallway. i called for my mum and she came over to me and i just cried it was the worst experience of my life. i tried all the little things people told me to do in order to get rid of him or to at least be at peace with him but apparently it didn't work. i want to be able to go to bed with my light off and not be scared. i want to be ok again........... but he won't let me.

This is spooky AND funny.
A young chap was walking home from a club. It was a cold, wet, windy evening and he was tired and freezing. Most of the streetlights in the area were broken, and the silence was only broken by the occasional sound of a stray cat sifting through a dustbin. Then suddenly he heard a strange noise.......
BUMP........
BUMP........
BUMP........
Startled by this, he turned, and to his amazement, through the driving rain, he saw the faint outline of a large box turning into his road.
BUMP........
BUMP.......
BUMP........
He froze to the spot, he couldn't believe his eyes, as the box approached from the shadows, he was able to make out its shape more clearly....It was a coffin.
Not wanting anything to do with this, he put his head down and started walking briskly home.
BUMP........
BUMP........
BUMP........
He could feel the coffin gaining on him, He started walking faster.........
BUMP........BUMP......
BUMP........BUMP.....
BUMP........BUMP......
The coffin was closing with his every step, he started to jog, but he heard the coffin speed up after him......
BUMP....BUMP...BUMP...
BUMP....BUMP...BUMP...
BUMP....BUMP...BUMP...
He started to sprint, but so did the coffin.
BUMP...BUMP...BUMP...BUMP.
BUMP...BUMP...BUMP...BUMP....
BUMP...BUMP...BUMP...BUMP.
Eventually he made it to his front door, but he knew the coffin was only seconds behind. Fumbling around in his pocket, he pulled out his keys, His hand trembling; he managed to open the lock. He dived inside slamming the front door behind him. He shot into his front room, and slumped into his comfy chair. Suddenly there was a loud crash, as the coffin smashed its way through the front door. The force of the impact broke the lock off the coffin allowing the lid to swing freely on its rusty hinges as it continued it’s chase.....
BUMP...SCREECH...BUMP...SCREECH...
BUMP...SCREECH...BUMP...SCREECH...
In horror the young lad fled again, as fast as his shaking legs could take him he bolted upstairs to the bathroom and locked the door........
BUMP...SCREECH...HOP...BUMP...SCREECH...HOP...
BUMP...SCREECH...HOP...BUMP...SCREECH...HOP...
The coffin again gave chase up the stairs, across the landing and launched itself at the bathroom door. With an almighty smash, the bathroom door flew off its hinges. The coffin stood in the doorway, and then started to approach the young terrified lad.
BUMP...SCREECH...BUMP...SCREECH...
BUMP...SCREECH...BUMP...SCREECH...
In a last ditch attempt to save his skin, he reached for his bathroom cabinet. He grabbed a bar of Imperial Leather soap and threw it at the coffin….still it came……
BUMP...SCREECH...BUMP...SCREECH...
He grabbed his can of Lynx deodorant and threw it… still it came…..
BUMP...SCREECH...BUMP...SCREECH...
He grabbed his first aid kit and threw it...still it came......
BUMP...SCREECH...BUMP...SCREECH...
He grabbed some Benilyn cough mixture and threw it........
The coffin stopped.
