According to M theory, space is eleven dimensional

Currently we accept there are only four dimensions in existence, 3 of them associated with space and one with time. But the M theory (M stands for mother of all theories!) predicts that the original dimensions of the Universe were actually 11.

The fact that the dimensions of the Universe were found to be 11, originally puzzled scientists, who were not able to accept such a bizarre figure. Why not 10 or 12 for example, it sounds more reasonable. After all, the alternative theory of supergravity predicted 10, a nice figure.

But this figure has given us good results, so this what we widely accept today, that the Universe had once 11 dimensions.

The universe is vast. No one will be able to tell you an exact and in most cases an estimate. The universe is just to BIG. This is my own opinion. Unless some people come up with evidence of it. I am going with stephen Hawkings Theory...Mentioned above

According to Stephen Hawking (the world's greatest living physicist) there are many dimensions and we're never be able to count them all as some are probably too small for us to detect.

i dont know how many there are, nobody does, but string theory suggest 11 dimensions, but it might be infinite, i wish i knew what the universe was. I wish I knew who created it. I want to know what we are doing here.

It is easy to say there are multiple dimensions to the universe, but it is another thing to prove it.
The universe consists of three dimensions of space and one of time.
This is all that is needed to have a viable universe like the one we live in.

Not quite sure, ive heard of 12 different ones. I don't know what all of them are but thats what I heard. Some scientist say that it is unable to be proven on how many dimensions there actually are.

11 dimensions is the latest theory. Check out Prof. Michu Kaku's book Parallel Worlds.

I think the current number is like 11 or 12. But I suspect that, in reality, it is infinite (and, perhaps, even an uncountable infinity instead of a countable one ☺)

I really don't like it when people post unanswerable questions on here because they are expecting an answer and are suprised when people can't give them one.

Their are 4 observable dimensions so far, length, width, height and time. Has for how many cannot be observed right now, I don't know.

Two. Some people say there is a third dimension, but that's just crazy talk.
