A bit of both. That government is incredibly inept and stupid but they also hide a LOT of what's going on I think.
History will judge Bush's presidency very very harshly I think.
He has generated so much anti-American sentiments around the globe that a repeat of something like 9/11 is inevitable in my opinion.

BOTH. But its not our stupidity. We really don't have much of a voice here. The only people with power are the ones with lots of money. Most of us don't have enough to make a difference. Besides we have to work 50 hour weeks to make bill payments, many of us just want to be left alone and realize our country is run by millionaires, stupid millionaires that is.

honestly i think its the other way around, americans are stupid and government is smart as to tricking many people into thinking they are stupid. how else do you think they could invade(keyword) iraq without a justifiable cause? they used racism(from the 9/11 attacks) to trick alot of people into invading iraq, and now it seems like they are slowly taking one freedom after the next all because of "terrorists". thats just my opinion on the subject.
