it is great to have racial pride and be proud of who you are there is a problem if you arent but i have read alot of pages where italians are claiming their the best dont mess with them and i dont get it what is the point of it noone is better than anyone we are all the same we are all human noone is perfect and another thing what is up with people saying a majority of italians are racists there are alot that are but there is racism in every race you just ignore the ignrant ones because i know a sicilian family and a few italian families and their nice people im black and get along better with them than i do with some of blacks

they are not real italians from italy, as me
they are probably some people that have far italian origins, and live abroad, and that have a total distort vision of reality, because they have seen italy only in TV

italy is one of the most civil country in the world
racism in italy isn't a social problem as in USA, or in other countries

I'm Italian and I feel you're right when you say that none is better than anyone just because he's white or black or he's Italian or American. Somebody can be better of somebody else but not due to the color of his skin or because of his heritage.
However I guess mostly of you are exchanging the proudness to be descendants of great people (Roman, Renaissance,etc) with the racism. In Italy racism is not at all an issue if you exclude a limited number of idiots (here in Italy we say they've never an end since "idiots' mom is always pregnant"). In general we are a friendly,tolerant people and we don't deserve all the common stereotypes to be arrogant and racists while we do deserve the one to be the best lovers in the world ..!! (jocking).

Well most of the time I think we are just kidding around but we have to let it be known who we are what we stand for and what we rule at because other races do the same.Were not ignorant just being honest.
