question on ADD medication and weightloss?

i just received word today from my phyc that i am to start dexiamphetimines for adult diagnosed add he told me i will lose weight is this true just wanting to no if anybody else out there has experienced this thanks.
(no i am not looking to lose weight i just dont want to lose any)

Most ADD meds are stimulants, so they suppress appetite. If you remember to eat even if you are not hungry you could keep from losing weight, but it is not easy.
