it would not count number number even if we've self belief Libby could get a pardon. he's now a convicted felon. His existence is ruined... he has fallen from a prestigious six parent activity as a stated legal professional, an legal professional who will truthfully be disbarred, without genuine wish of having his license again. The attraction procedure will be denied, yet will take a reliable 6-9 months, which nonetheless leaves Libby a minimum of a year in penitentiary. Bush gained't threat a pardon before the November, 2008 elections, because the fallout hostile to republicans will damage them on the polls. Libby will be pardoned by technique of Bush, on Bush's very last day in place of work, putting a marvelous finale and an ending exclamation aspect, to a criminal administration that took us right into a unnecessary conflict.

The evidence presented at Scooter Libby's trial revealed a conspiracy within the Bush Administration, led by Vice President Dick Cheney, to lie to Congress and the American People and start the Iraqi War. This conspiracy is no longer conjecture.
Libby's lies and obstruction of justice charges are meaningless anyway. The above presented evidence is now a matter of public record. Fitzgerald has now indicated that his investigation is over.
The lack of an active federal investigation into this matter is a green light for Congress to begin its own hearings on the matter. This is the real benefit of Libby's trial concluding.

No because everyone knows it will happen. He does to. He was emotionless when he heard the verdict, he didnt care because Bush is backing him along with many top govt officials, he'll get pardoned on all 4 counts after the inevitable indictment that will follow. He'll get fined money which will probably get squandered from the national budget. Cant wait until Bush is out of Office.

Maybe, but blood will spurt out of the press when he gets pardoned. It's a shame that speaking to the press in confidence is no longer a guarantee of freedom.
