well in my opinion i think the the NBA champs will be from the West. im thinking either the Spurs or Dallas against the Pistons with the western conference team being the champs
MVP should go to the best player on the best team....and thats Dirk. of course Nash will get some nods as his stats have improved and his team is second best in the L. but i think Amare's comeback will take some votes away from him. Kobe could also be a darkhorse for his acceptance of team work, his new leadership and attitude, and the fact he has carried an injury plaugued team
6th man could go to either Manu, Ben Gordon, Leonandro Barbosa or David Lee....personally someone who leads the L in FG% AND posts a double double off the bench should deserve the nod...and for that id give the award to Lee

I believe that the Pistons will win the championship against the Rockets and 6 games. The Rockets have Yao back, who is a MVP caliber player and with Tracy McGrady playing some of his best basketball ever, I think that they are good enough to beat a Mavericks team that will probably fizzle in the playoffs as did the Pistons last year with their great start. This year the Pistons are mirroring their 2003-2004 season. They have gotten a good free agency pickup, their bench is better now with Maxiell and Delfino improving and though they may be struggling now they will come out of their upcoming tough schedule a new more educated and bonded team. They will come into the playoffs and have a very easy time throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs and then struggle a bit in order to beat a Rockets team that has not been together as long nor has such good teamwork.
The MVP for the regular seasons and the early rounds of the playoffs will most likely be Dirk Nowitzki. He is leading his team to a great start against a fairly tough schedule and it is possible that he might even lead them to a 70 win season. He has averaged 25.4 points, 9.60 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. I think the next player after him would be Steve Nash and intregingly enough (in my opinion) Chris Webber. Only because without him the Pistons would not be the top team in the East right now.
I would like to start of by saying that Chris Webber is a starter so I dont know why people are saying that he should be the 6th man. Personally I have to go with a Piston in Maxiell, his numbers have not been amazing but he has made a huge defensive impact and has hit many key shots, one to win the game.
