Are you talking cam timing or ignition timing? To alter the cam timing you will need to purchase cam sprockets that are adjustable, a degree wheel and a high performance manual showing just how to do this. Remember that if you screw up you can damage your engine.

The ignition timing is not adjustable. (It may be adjustable on some models sold outside of the US. I only have information on US bikes.) For some bikes you can buy an adjustable plate (consult a local high performance shop for details) or you can machine slots in the plate. You would then need a timing light and a high performance manual showing you how to do this. Again, remember that if you screw up you can damage your engine.

Ask at your local shop if anyone races a 250 Ninja in your area. They would be able to provide you information on how to modify your Eliminator to go faster.

The best route is to find an expert near you. These modifications require some skill and experience. With a few tweeks like these and other small mods to the airbox and carbs, you will still have a "stock" bike, but it will go faster.
