I must say that I am thrilled you asked a doors question! They are my absolute alltime favorite! Jim Morrison was a true genius and a great poet! Their music has so much feeling and intensity! My favorite song, "Riders on the storm" is filled with depth and meaning and when I listen to it, I want to run through a rainstorm! They are the best without a doubt!

I used to listen to them in high school, and then that movie came out and all of a sudden they became unbelievably trendy and then unfortunately I got really sick of them... but overall, I think that they are very talented musicians( even though, now I am older, I feel Jim Morrison is a bit over-rated ) I would definitely suggest to check them out... I might even go home tonight and dig out the strange days album and give it another listen...

one of the best usa bands ever, even up until today was the doors. jim morrison was a writer and poet like no other. their music is ageless and mainstream, unlike alot of other groups that came out of the usa in the sixties.
