hello missy my eye colour is the same and dont be afraid to experiment I always used brown until I got fed up with it.
I use green as the colour compliments brown eyes/a darker brown along lid with some peach above to create smoky effect looks good/purple dont panic honest it is fab with brown eyes a light lilac is nice.
Blue and white are pants on me.
So to round up light brown/dark brown/peaches/creams/greens/purples/greys/pinks are all great.

I have blue eyes so it'd be all the ones that don't suit me. Blue looks great on brown eyes because it contrasts whereas it does nothing for me. Green looks good on brown eyes (but not if your eyes are too greeny) as do warm colours like gold and rich browns. There's a shade of purple to suit everyone.

I too have brown eyes and I went to a make up specalist which told me to use a brown that is a couple shades lighter than my eyes. Also a good purple looks fantastic with brown eyes if you going somewhere fancy at night.

i have brown hazel eyes too.And i use brown colors and i also use white color of eyeshadow.I just stick with light colors. So try sticking with light colors.Or if you want to pick dark colors than go for dark colors like brown or pinkish colors or goldish color.Or even a tanish brown for a color of eye shadow.

when i start use makeup i use what ever color i want . when i get older i will ask the make artist. make up is about the look u r . u have to mix and match . i m sure u look good in all different color. if u just stick with one , is boring.
go and ask the make up artist in the counter. try MAC and NARS . they are really professional .( do need to buy anything) dont; go for those who sell skin care product .

try a gold sparkle on eyelid, then a darker brn. on outside of bottom lid and in middle crease, then a lighter color on top! But a light golden sparkle on bottom part of eyelid makes eyes look larger! Try it! You'll love it!
