The plain fact is that we, as a nation, have become so lazy and fast junk food is so cheap that we are fast food eating ourselves to death. When I grew up fast food was a treat once or twice a month and a home cooked meal was the norm...now its the opposite.
I moved to Asia a year ago. I can count on my hands the number of times I have eaten fast food since being here. I have dropped 20 pounds and IF people would learn to cook again we might not be giving our kids a destiny of obesity and diabetes....
GOOD Question!

I can't speak for everybody else but here's why I still will eat fast food... I cook a well rounded meal every morning and every evening for me, my boyfriend, and our baby girl... I do this seven days a week, I make my boyfriend's lunch every night and I usually will make a chef salad for my lunch but sometimes, I do grocery shopping and such over my lunch break and it's a lot quicker to grab a couple of items from the 99 cent menu at Wendy's then to sit down and eat a meal. Also if I'm out running errands with my daughter and she gets hungry, it's unrealistic to think that I'm going to drive all the way across town to get home to grab some carrot sticks when I can just get some chicken nuggets for her right then. It's not that I'm lazy, I'm human. I do agree that a lot of people eat fast food way too much, but who am I to judge anybody, as long as they're happy, that's all that matters and to be honest eating healthy all the time gets a little bit boring.

Healthy snack at home is better, but what if home is not on the way between office and cinema? You just stop somewhere, fast and cheap. And what if you are traveling? And what if fast food becomes a place to meet (for teenagers)? By the way, I do not like it.

I agree. We don't know what those sickos are doing in the fast food restaurants. You hear about horror stories all of the time. People are lazy and don't want to take the time to make a nice healthy meal at home.

That is true a healthy snack can be made from home and sandwich does not take time.
Either people are lazy to do it, or they have a lot of money to spent.
Once in a wghile its understandable but not everytime.
there are many types of sandwiches..........so i am sure u caannot get tired of eating same thing

Because people are lazy! Most people would choose an extra 10 minutes in bed over getting up to make lunch.
In the defense of fast food joints, they do offer healthier options these days.

in many situations the meals we get from eating places/speedy food are pre-made and that they simply warmth them up whilst an order is placed. I worked in crimson Lobster for slightly and that i be responsive to that interior the morning that they had food preps that could prepare each and all the dishes so they could be waiting to decide for whilst the eating place opened interior the morning. So, eating place/speedy food incorporate according to risk preservatives, a lot of sodium, lard (fat)...greater so than in case you cooked it at living house your self. once you prepare dinner at living house you do not could desire to apply preservatives given which you will consume the food outstanding once you prepare dinner it.

Too lazy to do so, I prefer to awake ½ hour earlier and make my own lunch or breakfast, in the way that I want, a lot healthier and a lot cheaper.
