Life on Mars finishes after this series & there's a spin-off called Ashes to Ashes set in the early 80's.It will have Hunt & Annie as detectives.I read an interview with John Simm & he says he def won't be in the new series. So i reckon he's a time-traveller & he dies trying to get back to his own time.

Don't know yet. Wonder if Sam will ever 'get back' to where he came from, or did he just dream of the future? I think it's fantastic. Just wish they would play more music from 1973 - a very good year!!

I'm wondering if sam's mum comes back in to it and maybe young Sam himself. So in fact he's gone back to save himself. It's great to keep guessing though isn't it!? Best on TV!

He never was in the 21st Century, and he's not in a coma. He is from the 1970s an always has been - he's just a bit loony and thinks he's from the future, but he's not....
