If the motor mounts match up it is easy. Also consider weight just in case you need to change shocks and transmission may be affected too.

you need to do an interchange check on the 89 to see if it will fit in the 92. even though the cars may be made by the same manufacture doesn't mean that everthing will interchange with one another All you have to do is call an autosalvage yard and they would be able to tell you if the engines will change

you could but depending on what is in the newer car, ie ecu's, wiring, radiator, driveshafts? yuo would probably find it easier and cheapr to sell the older one and buy the correct engine for the car.
But on the other hand its not impossible to transplat the engine, there may need to be fabrication work to mount the new engine and so on, should be ok clearance wise, im sure the have the same 3sge engine so it could be done...

yes you can , if it the same kind of motor ,of the car,, most the time ,,the year dont , make to much fifferent, the thing i see, may be the wireing, an gas cable, but you have the other car , to pull part off, so their should be no trouble

It usually can be done pretty easily, but you must declare it in the 'changes' section of your vehicle registration document.
My late Father unknowingly sold a vehicle he bought to another person. They discovered it had an older engine, & successfully sued my Dad for the cost of the car, & compensation..
