If acceleration is constant, then the velocity will be constantly changing in the direction of the acceleration.
The best example of this is gravity. Gravity constantly pulls downward on every object near Earth. So, if you fire a bullet straight up into the air, gravity will begin to slow it down the instant it is fired. The bullet continuously slows down until it reaches the apex of its flight. It then stops for an instant and begins falling back to Earth. It will continuously pick up speed as it descends and it will hit the ground with the same velocity as it was fired (assuming no air resistence).
Think about how many innocent bystanders were killed when cowboys used to fire their guns in the air in those old westerns.

Acceleration constant does not mean velocit is constant. because acceleration is rate of change velocity. So if you integrate constant acceleration you will get velocity which is a function of time. So velocity still changes with time. Example freely falling body. Acceleration due to gravity is constant but velocity changes. If the acceleration is zero then velocity is constant

If acceleration is not zero, there will be a contant change in velocity over time. If velocity keeps changing it is not constant velocity. Constant velocity meens moving at a fixed velocity.
Example- Light moves at a constant velocity. Through air, Light moves at a fixed velocity of about 2.998*10^8 m/s.

No velocity is the result of Acceleration plus Duration.
At a constant boost (acceleration) with no restraining or drag factors, velocity must increase, therefore it cannot be constant..

if velocity is constant, then acceleration is zero. but constant acceleration may be the result of a varying velocity.
example: if u have a velocity of the form ax where a is a constant then u have constant acceleration.
