Sorry I am a science retard, but have seen how these tubes cool castings in foundries. Also while I have you captive, a whiffle ball construction for the shuttle. I know it must be tiresome explaining to a lower primate but would appreciate your answer

While moderately effective for seperating high energy gasses from low energy ones, the implementation would be a bear. How would you do it, even if you have enough low energy molecules to do the job? I do not think you could overcome all the engineering issues.

Why would you want to do it that way? The current way works fine as long as all the items are checked before hand. The remaining problem is doing a better job of dmage control during takeoff. That won't be solved with you method. You plan will only add a lot of weight (and therefore cost) to the shuttle. The reason tiles were devolped was for the low weight.
