All depends to "whom" you make such a promise and IF you can hold it. You should also consider the fact that making such a promise to a "mortal being" will only go so far as the life of such person and will not get you live for ever, especially if such promise is not reciprocal.

yah, live forever with just that one person. You love might be undying, but you'll be dead, old and married.
