The reason is very obvious, the tax structure and the Govt. policies are enforced only on middle class in Indian subcontinent while in other parts of the world it is enforced on higher income class only and transparently minimal on middle class.

Because we are electing - landlords, corrupt people, or those who do not need to earn their living. Every person, whether middle class or lower class approaches a politician rather than the 'administration' for finding a 'quick' solution. I am also a middle class fellow. The upper class have nothing to loose. The lower classes have nothing to loose. It is only the middle class that have a 'fear' of loosing. Real or imaginary. And the middle class have highly intellectual solutions, not practical. Your 'democratic right of a"vote" is not worth a penny or one by tenth of it, for the politicians. Try and mobilise at least 1 lakh votes. or else dont ask this kind of questions!

Only upper rich can afford a home, those who can't have to rent or if they are very lazy, they can get government subsidized.....I don't qualify for that, only Mcdonald's workers with seven kids get a home.
