The American people do not care if some other crooks or incompetent goofballs also did it in the past. If you are in charge and fail, you should be held accountable. So why do defenders of the current regime keep playing that old song? Don't they know that only 30% of the nation even approves of their policies?
The 70% who disapprove cannot be all democrats or liberals. That means independents and even some republicans are tired of their incompetence. Why can't they wake up and do something to salvage a little chance in 2008? Otherwise it will be a total wipe out in that general election.

Because they fundamentally oppose responsibility of any kind. Two weeks ago Emperor Bush unequivocally stated he would not enter into talks with the "Axis of evil" states Syria and Iran. And now? Entering into talks with Syria and Iran. This administration, and all its supporters (dwindling like the chicken hawks they are) thrives on lies and screwing over the poor while lining their own pockets. And what is even more pathetic is that some of the working class (not union members, usually) buy into their bull. Classic. Let them twist in the wind. The hypocrisy is noticed by seventy percent (and gaining) and that is what counts, in the end. History will judge, and it is already happening.

Politics, politics, politics. The same reason Democrats defend the wrongs that occurred 1992-2000.
Also, by this appeal, they hope not to be held accountable for anything, just as the Democrats weren't.

Yeah, well, I blame Bill Clinton for every crook in the Bush administration, anything that ever went wrong every where, including W W l l and the sinking of the Titanic. That way my party doesn't have to take responsibiltiy for being the most corrupt and criminal in the history of the country. In answer to your question they do it as a means of diverting from the truth.

thats an easy one. because the left wing extremists want to paint a picture of this being ALL bushs fault to grease the way to 2008. cmon...uss cole, first wtc, african embassy bombings and what was done...NOTHING...clinton had eight years, bush had six months...its called FACT, not editorializing. and conservatives want to , correctly so, lable this as the pot calling the kettle black...call it what you will but i dont want eight more years of this type of presidential behavior.

these werent ...minor...or ....i told you so...implications and your implying, these were clear and major character violations that breached the trust of the united states and to imply that these are somehow ok because of bush is sad..truly sad.
