My laptop is an Advent 7070 it uses windows XP as its operating software.

if you type in dxdiag in the RUN command in the start bar then you should be able to see somewhere on there what type of memory your laptop takes. if that doesnt work the next thing that you can do is look in the book that came wioth your laptop it should have all the information in about your laptop.

(you don't have to buy from crucial if you don't want to but they're decent ram and either way they'll tell you what you have and need)
