How do you copy and paste a URL from an email to the internet browser?

I am required to copy and paste a url from an email message into my internet browser to allow registration of the Ashampoo program. I get as far as highlighting the url and clicking on copy in the view window. I then open up my browser but am lost when it comes to finding the paste button to enter it into the address block.

select with the help of mouse drag over
right click choose copy
paste in IE

Right click your mouse, you should see an option to paste.
