you relatively want a clean engine altogether, one designed to reliably run jointly as offering the severe compression ratios like 22:a million mandatory to help combustion of diesel or different oils. gas engines are in user-friendly terms sturdy for 10:a million compression at present. If the motor vehicle is already a time-honored diesel motor vehicle, i've got self assurance all you like is a few added gasoline filtering to run on so called bio diesel.

For some years the Ford company in Geelong Australia has been using natural gas in some large trucks as an experiment but it takes all night to compress the gas into a liquid so its not possble yet for cars. The trucks are diesl engines with spark plugs fitted and an ignition system fitted.

No. A diesel engine has no spark plugs. You'd need to drill holes in all of the cylinders and tap them to accept plugs, create all of the wiring and distribution circuits to get electricity to them at the right time, etc. You'd need a computer or distributor to do that, but since your car is a diesel there's no crank position sensor or distributor gear on the camshaft that would allow you to do this. So, in a word, no.

Depends, are you american and mean gas as in petrol? Or gas as in LPG?
If you want LPG it's possible to convert it, despite what some other people here have said. Take a look at these guys, they've done diesel / LPG conversions for a while now.

the only way to do that is to replace the engine . that is about as big a job as they get.
diesel is most often better engine cost less to run and last longer.
if your really wanting to use gas then buy a different car.

No. It's an entirely different engine. Diesals have almost twice the compression ratio of gas or gasoline engines, no spark plugs, no ignition...etc.
