1. Discipline...discipline and discipline... Lack of discipline everywhere.. You see indiscipline everywhere.. Traffic, queues etc., just disobey the rules and ensure your work is done first no matter who comes before you... That's the pathetic behaviour we guys have to change.
2. We need to control the population. It includes controlling every population of every religion. No religion is beyond the country. Population is because India is the oldest country and it is bound to have population.
3. One rule for everyone irrespective of religions. When it works elsewhere, why doesn't it work in India?.
4. Unproductive protests. People take it to street, destroy public property and harrass others to display their protest. You are just hurting others and you are not achieving anything.
5. Stop following these bloody politicians. Here every polician moves with hundreds of chemchas behind him. These guys lack in self-respect.
and what not.... there is a big list to complete.

1> Literacy: Since the independence literacy rate of India has risen from somewhere around 18 percent to 64 percent in the year 2001. However we have a long way to go. Education has the maximum impact on development of any nation. Literacy would itself take care of a hell lot of petty issues.
2> More tax payers: People usually are not honest tax payers. The whole budget of the country is based on revenues generated by taxes. If people could develop an honest attitude towards taxes, it's finally gonna benefit. We donot realise that govenrment raise taxes just to fill in the defficit slot. IF people all around the country start paying their taxes honestly, governemnt can possibly induce some relaxation towards taxes and induce strategic development plans.
3> Patriotism: Patriotism doesn't imply that you need to die for your country. But you need to be honest towars constitutional policies, and safegaurd national property. People around don't bother about national assests like trains, roads, buses, electricity, water, etc. We waste water and electricity. We don't participate in maintaing cleanliness on raods, buses and trains. Instead you would find seats of buses and trains damaged, all those messages on the seats, litter all around, etc. And then we complain that government is not provisioning the maintenance of thses assets. Actually, a large amount of the budget has to be diverted into maintanence of these areas. But the harm caused by people around is so huge that no matter what amount of budget is diverted into these areas, it's never enough.
3> Co-operation: This is another major issue. We hear about few groups of people opposing few practices. At times these groups are right and at times these are wrong. And most the times the opposition is in form of road blocks, train blocks, strikes, mobs, etc. We as citizens should realize that we are actually laying hurdles on development supporting such acts. There are a hell lot of people who don't actually care for such issues. But they keep mum. They gotta co-operate., express their views. Just gather up and raise the slogan - "WE WANT PEACE". Raise slogans to make these groups realize that they are adopting the wrong policy of opposition. These would be beneficial in developing a kind of harmony and awareness.
4> Agriculture: Encourage agriculture. India was once known to be wealthiest country cos it was self sufficient in all aspects. But now we have to depend on other nations for some of the food products. Population explotion is not the reason for it. the fact is that agricultural land have highly receded since independence. Agriculture to some is a primitive form of earning. I think we should also look up into agriculture as profession. A lot of agriculural institutes are being promoted by the government. It's a vast industry, with ever expanding scopes. This is the only industry which is never gonna cease. Introduce better technology. Introduce highly cultivative seeds. We should try and regain the our status of agricultural industry.
There are a lot more things to be done. But thses are the major aspects that we need to work on.
All the best...
:-)

The intelectuals in social fields must find a new way to eradicate corruption from grassroot levels upwards. Meaning to say a different form of governance. So all of you buckle up and work those grey greying cells and present a new format and we'll support you.
