You can't easily tell without having the watch in your hands. If you're in doubt, or if the deal seems too good to be true, then assume it's a fake and walk away. When it comes to fine watches, always deal with reputable dealers to ensure that you get the real thing.

There isn't really a sure-fire way of telling. You can trust the well known retailers, especially those that are authorised dealers of the particular brand that you want.

Beyond that, honesty is all you can rely on. Personally I would avoid any sites from the far east, eastern Europe or Russia. You are more likely to fall foul of fakes in those areas than in western nations. That said though, unless you are going to an authorised retailer, you are never going to be 100% safe.

My advice: pay a bit extra and buy from an official dealer!

Most websites who sell fakes put a photo of the genuine product then when you receive it you realise it is fake. If you are not sure if it is genuine or if the website is genuine, don't buy it. Better to be safe than sorry. Also you can probably tell from the price as fakes are cheaper.

some fake website are really really good. what i used to do is to compare the famous website . like Victoria secret or j .lo web site. they will have all the register "safer " or security .. somthing like that .
if u really want to buy something on the web shop which u r not sure is it fake 1: contact them . asking a lot of question about the shipping and return . 2 . buy a really cheap item just to try (if u really want to shop there )

You can't ever be sure. As someone who used to collect high quality Swiss watches, I would seriously warn anyone NEVER to part with money until you have held the watch in your hand, and satisfied yourself that it is the genuine article.

Whats the name of the website?

Is it Gerald online? If it is don't trust it. Gerald online is ran by the guy who said all his jewellary was c-r-a-p and people will buy it if you advertise it right.
