Yes you can if you download updated drivers for XP. Either go to driverguide.com or Canon and get the latest XP driver for your printer.

Try re-installing the drivers. If you get a dialogue box telling you that xp cannot verify the software, or something similar, just keep going. It will install and should work fine.
