Well, The wireless connection is not seen at the network connections. It was there till i sent my laptop for repair. My wireless is on but nothing shows up?

There is most likely a switch or button that turns off your wireless adapter. On both of my laptops, it is on the front edge. If that isn't your problem, try reinstalling the device driver which can be found on the manufacturer's website.

Check the BIOS and see if the wifi card is found... it maybe they've broken it or disconnected it. It may even be that if they 'repaired' your laptop by swapping the disk into a working computer (that's how Dell work...) they forgot the wifi card and you don't have one anymore.

Check that the drive is installed... and enabled in device manager.

go to Control Panel->Network Connections
If you can not find either they have removed/damaged your wirless card or they have uninstalled the driver
