She never use to be like this. And it all started with one of my friends liking her. After that her confidence grew big time ... which is cool ..then she started to act really bigheaded ... like always saying that boys whistle at her and look at her all the time. She tells me this and i really dont care ..i just want to pass my Maths A Level .. and this girl is constantly pouting and dressing up so boys look at her when we walk past. Its like she is trying to prove a point to me that she is better looking than me or something because in the past i have always overshadowed her and i guess thats why she is being like this. Trying to prove to herself that she is better than me. Problem is i really dont give a flying monkeys who is better looking. What shall i do?

No the only reason i do care is because i have to listen to her crap day in and day out. Sometimes it just gets too much when someone is constantly talking about what clothes they will wear tomorow and their hair when they have an exam the day after and they expect me to help on the day of the exam. It has nothing to with attention just her attitude towards me recently ... its very bitter. Like if i get a pimple the girl would be super giddy and happy because her skin is clear. That is annoying

just ignore she is obviously insecure and ur not. she is probably jealous of this. u just carry on wi ur a-levels and let her make a prat of her self.

Sounds like insecurity to me. Just be honest with her. Let her know that you are not interested in a competition, only a friendship. If she then doesn't realize how foolish all of this is, just ignore her remarks, etc. and cool down the friendship. By seeing less of her, you will not be so annoyed.

Honestly, go with it. I have a friend like that. And honestly it makes you stronger. Try to beat her every chance you get. But keep it healthy. Talk to her, compare. Be friendly, but keep it in the back of your mind to beat her at every angle. Worse comes to worse, you ace High school and college, have the best husband, nice car, house career, and still 1 step behind her. Oooh darn, hope your ego isn't that frail.
Me and my friend compete on everything from computers to hourly wage, girlfriends, to pocket money. Spending limit on credit cards, fastest i've ever driven, most money i paid on a car, whatever. But do keep in mind, common sense is a factor, let her win if she wants to compete at who kills themself first.
