Let me put this in perspective. Yes, the earth has been going through its various environmental cataclysmic changes for ages. And the environmentalists have it wrong. It is not the earth that we should be so worried about, it is us. People. If we go on as we are the earth will be uninhabitable for us. The earth will shrug us off like it has countless species before us. And that, that is something to worry about. So, no. It is not a "government conspiracy". It is fact. Check it out. And think.

In the last 10,000 years, the warmest periods have happened well before humans started to produce large amounts of carbon dioxide.
A detailed look at recent climate change reveals that the temperature rose prior to 1940 but dropped in the post-war economic boom, when carbon dioxide emissions rose dramatically.
There is evidence that the rise in carbon dioxide lags behind the temperature rise by 800 years and therefore can't be the cause of it.
In the greenhouse model of global warming, heat from the sun's rays is trapped by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. If it weren't for these gases, Earth would be too cold for life.
If greenhouse warming were happening, then scientists predict that the troposphere (the layer of the earth's atmosphere roughly 10-15km above us) should heat up faster than the surface of the planet, but data collected from satellites and weather balloons doesn't support this.
The final nail in the coffin of human-produced greenhouse gas theories is the fact that carbon dioxide is produced in far larger quantities by many natural means: human emissions are miniscule in comparison. Volcanic emissions and carbon dioxide from animals, bacteria, decaying vegetation and the ocean outweigh our own production several times over.
Evidence shows that that as the radiation coming from the sun varies (and sun-spot activity is one way of monitoring this) the earth seems to heat up or cool down. Solar activity very precisely matches the plot of temperature change over the last 100 years. It correlates well with the anomalous post-war temperature dip, when global carbon dioxide levels were rising.
Its been noted that instruments which measure temperature on the Moon and Mars have indicated exactly the same general increases in temperatures. There are no 4x4's or power plants on the Moon or Mars!

there is no question that the average global temperature has risen over the last 50 or so years. The question is, how much has human activity got to do with it - very little I think. It is only the supreme arrogance of the human species that makes us think that we can control the global climate in the face of the gigantic cosmological and geological forces that have been changing the climate since this planet existed.
So it is not a government conspiracy, but governments have exploited the issue to raise taxes, also Al Gore is exploiting the issue to gain some revenge for loosing the last US presidential election

I think the globe is warming up - no conspiracy. Whether this is a cyclical event or not - who knows? Certainly not Al Gourmet (Gore), who probably confused the heat from his weight gain with global warming. Poor guy didn't realize John Scary was only joking about the Ketchup diet. Seriously, I do not know how all the factory byproducts can not be hurting the environment.... I am uncertain to what extent.

global warming is not a government conspiracy.10000years ago was the last ice age we are still coming out of this. trouble we are here for such a minuscule amount of time we cannot see the big picture of the changing cycle of warming and cooling that the earth has gone through in it's 4,500,000.000 year life. governments are using this to extract taxes from us,reduce our free movement around our country or the world because they can keep us under control easier if we don't move around

No it's not a conspiracy. You have to ask yourselves, what would industrialized nations gain from environmental efforts?
As I understand industralized nations such as the US, China and India contribute towards emissions which contribute towards global warming, if these governments invented this idea of global warming it wouldn't be doing them any favours rather than criticism against their current domestic policies.
As for a socialist conspiracy...far from it. As I understand those who believe in global warming to a great extent are not solely socialists but democratic capitalists.

While global warming is probably occurring, the extent AND fault behind why it is occurring is far from being proven. The extent to which it is a conspiracy is more a result of socialist groups who are constantly looking for ways to bring down western governments, big business, and the rich in general. They use the global warming scare to create programs that redistribute wealth. The Kyoto Treaty is a classic example, as is the latest craze...carbon credits...buying redemption by giving your credits to the less wealthy. It's classic socialism.

No it is not. The cover up has been primarily in the US but has been to play global warming off as not that important.
Yes the world has heated and cooled at many times in the past but the geological record shows that it has been over large amounts of time. We are heating up at an exponential rate. Things that took centuries are now taking decades.

Whoever says that most scientists agree with man-made global warming theories is an uninformed moron. Most scientists in most major universities KNOW that the global warming theory is as whacked out as AlGore on crack! The earth was much warmer in the 1930's, and in the 1970's the libs at TIME magazine said we were heading inot another Ice Age. If you believe in global warming, you may also believe in the tooth fairy...

Global warming is happening and as a world we need to do things about this right now, what is breath taking though is how our Labour government has looked on the trouble and worked out how to tax the people to fill the coffers with more stealth tax.
How much so far has old Gordon raised in the new airport tax, and yet I have not seen him hand over a penny to an iceburg.
When are we going to see some real policies that do not just involve hitting the motorist. for one all uk town centres need to ban cars from out side and build mono rails on all bus routes and dump buses to history, not only will that save congestion but also mono rails run on electric then everyone will have to use mono rail,
