Speilberg has made some good movies BUT he tends to make the endings in some of them what I call Speilbergian. Will he make it, he almost makes it, no ,something happens, he's not gonna make it, there isn't enough time, will he make it? Oh NO! he not gonna make it. eeeek. ...... but the character always makes whatever it is in time anyway and the audience automatically feels cheated.
Also there are two many kids in his movies and there is always the yuck factor for the little tykes. I swear to God, when I was watching Jurasic Park and that whinny kid didn't want to come down off that electric fence I was screeming out loud. TURN ON THE CURRENT!

Some of them, E.T. or the Indiana Jones Trilogy, for example. But in Close Encounters it was heart over mind, in my opinion.

He has some good movies but he is over rated.I think over time new directors have sprung up who can arguably be said to be better than he is.

Depents on the movie. For exampel I like "Indiana Jones" but I hate "ET".

i love his older stuff, but lately he's been more interested in message movies than enjoyable films.

i LOVE them!!! i like close encounters of the third kind, but i especially LOVE the indiana jones ones... their so cool!!!
