how does insurance cover the prescription of birth control pill?how should i start?after my menstual cycle?

Plan B has gone over the counter, and thus, insurance won't cover it. Though, you can get a prescription, and that will be covered by insurance. Average cash price at a pharmacy is between $40 and $45 per pack.

If I am understanding you right you are asking if you can get birth control pills at the pharmacy and the answer is yes. As for cost, it depends on the kind of insurance the lady has if she has insurance. As for out of pocket for those that don't have insurance that would vary from pharmacy to pharmacy.
