Every single waking day, my parents tell me to go get a job. I would get a job if they would get off my back and stop telling me to go get one! I stay up late on the computer, and by the time I go to sleep, my dad is getting up for work. He just shakes his head at me and tells me to go to sleep.

Why am I doing this to myself? I need money so bad, but just can't seem to get out there and look for a job. I'm being so stubborn and spiteful to my parents, and I shouldn't be. Any tips on WHY I should get a job, and how I can get a job?

I'm usually a bartender...but the job I was working at was 90 minutes away so I quit.

I'm awake until 5:00 in the morning, sometimes later, and then I sleep all day! And do nothing all day long. I have a boyfriend and he keeps me busy sometimes, and I have no friends where I live. I need a job desperately for social and money reasons! But WHY can't I go find one?!

You sound like you could be a little depressed and maybe just a tad lazy. But nothing to worry about, it happens to most people but only temporary. You might be afraid that if you start working your parents will begin to do less and less for you. Whatever your reasons are, doesn't really matter

....if you get to bed a little early, wake up and start looking for a job every day, you WILL find something you like doing. And when you start meeting new people, your self esteem will go up and you'll feel great that you're not a slave to the computer anymore. You'll be able to shop, save money, buy extras for your car, or just have a little fun and the best part is that your parents will be happy with you. You don't realize it, but when parents are stressed out about their children, it makes the kids pretty depressed too.....and when they're happy....it will make you feel even better about yourself.
